Oh hey there, readers, long time no post. We have some great news, we are hitting the road again! We’d initially planned to hit the road in early September and make our way to Banff but you know how things go, life happens.
We are changing our route to include the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park along with many other stops. I have to be in Seattle for work by October 31st, so we are going to slowly make our way towards the Pacific Northwest. You won’t be surprised to learn that one of our stops includes Bend, OR.
As we were preparing for this adventure, we looked back on the things we needed the last time we were on the road. One of those things consisted of a camper top for the back of the truck. We wanted to be able to have a bit more head room for some of our things, such as the mountain bikes and maybe even a motorcycle if Brandon found one that sat low enough.
We also realized we needed an easier way to pump the water from our newly acquired water tank to the Airstream, which means we acquired a neat little water pump. I sure wish we had upped our water game in the beginning, but hey, you live and you learn.
One thing I regret not having purchased before we headed out was a washer/dryer combo to wash our hiking clothes and sheets. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to in time before we left. Laundromats here we come!
After spending six months sweating non stop, I am afraid we didn’t pack enough cool weather clothes, but one great thing about this lifestyle is the ability to stop and grab anything we might have left behind.
